Surprise Spring Snow Northern Vermont 4.7.16

From Josh Wirth:
Jay Peak calling it 6-8″, I thought more like 4-6″, but we’ll settle in the middle at 5-7″. I hit up super early Dawn Patrol today and got 3 runs in b4 lifts turned. We even got a good 6″ here in Montgomery Center and some towns like Eden got around 10″ — nice storm, but it was short-lived. Snow was already manking out around 9am and I’d imagine snow quality was totally shot by 11am w/ quickly rising temps. 29f this morning was already 54f by 3pm and now we have moderate rain falling at all elevations. This will all change drastically, yet again.
This rain will change to all snow at elevation after midnight 2nite and we should be in for another bout of significant snowfall yielding powder conditions for the weekend. Looking for snow intensity to pick up around 7am Fri and we could see 3-5″ during the day and similar accum Fri night. Early call from me would be 80% chance of 6″+ and maybe a 40% chance at something like 9 or 10″ by Saturday noontime. Seriously:)
Link to edit from today proving that winter is still sticking around in Northern VT:

Still have the Riverside open for the weekend — like I said, $300 takes it if you can rally the troops and believe anything of what I say. $30 a person if you can wrangle up 10 degenerate skiers to spend the wknd in snow country!
