Blizzard 2017 – Feb 9 Boston Metro

February 9, 2019 dawned mild and gray, about 39 degrees. But an arctic front moving south from Canada toward Boston supplied sufficient chill and dynamic to turn a 991 millibar low over Virginia at sunrise, into a 979 Low 300 miles east of Nantucket by sunset.
The heaviest snow actually fell well inland from Northern Connecticut, through central Massachusetts to southern New Hampshire and eastern Maine.
For a couple hours it was frightening to be on the road, that part of storm is at about 4:30 into this 8:30 video. It was near impossible to measure, but after plenty of cross checking, we found it was about ten inches near Boston.
